Job Summary

.NET Developer Full Stack with Linux/Unix & Scripting

Location: Toronto Canada (4 days a week)

We are seeking a highly skilled and Developer to join our Finance IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both traditional and frameworks SQL Server and Unix/Linux environments with hands-on expertise in Shell and Perl scripting. This role is critical to supporting and enhancing our regulatory reporting and financial systems.

Required Technical Skills:

.NET Framework Core 10 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-grade applications.

SQL Server Strong proficiency in writing complex queries stored procedures and performance tuning.

Linux/Unix Experience in system-level scripting and automation using Shell and Perl.

Shell Scripting & Perl Used for data processing job scheduling (e.g. Stonebranch) and legacy system integration

Version Control & DevOps Familiarity with Git CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable backend components Core and Framework.

Build and maintain SQL Server databases and optimize data access layers.

Develop and maintain Shell and Perl scripts for automation and data workflows.

Participate in low-level design code reviews and deployment planning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support UAT and production releases.

Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PCI compliance or regulatory reporting systems is a plus.

Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. Azure OpenShift) and containerization strategies.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence
