As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and optimizing high-precision mechanical components and systems for custom-built test and measurement solutions. Youll work closely with multidisciplinary teams from concept to assembly ensuring technical excellence and practical functionality.
You will have the unique opportunity to see your designs evolve into complete functioning systems and to fine-tune them for optimal performance. The variety of projects means youll never be stuck in routine work and your input will directly shape the final result.
In this role you will:
- Translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings
- Select materials and components suited for high-precision work
- Collaborate with electrical software and automation engineers
- Support the build assembly and testing phases making adjustments where needed
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Ensure designs meet quality cost and timeline targets
Qualifications :
The ideal candidat in a few words
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent by experience)
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design preferably in precision engineering or special machinery
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks & Inventor)
- You have proven experience in working with high precision and fine mechanical tolerances including the use of micrometers this expertise is essential to succeed in this senior role
- Broad technical knowledge of materials manufacturing processes and assembly techniques
- Hands-on mindset eager to be involved in both design and practical implementation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge motionsystems
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Willing to travel occasionally (up to 10%)
