Job Description
2 Month Contract With A local Authority
To undertake plumbing repairs maintenance and installations within communal areas of residential properties across the borough ensuring a safe functional and high-quality environment for tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance work in communal areas including fixing leaks blockages and faulty pipework.
Install repair and maintain communal heating systems water supply lines pumps valves and fixtures.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing requests to prevent property damage and maintain service continuity.
Diagnose faults accurately and provide efficient and lasting repairs.
Maintain accurate records of all work carried out including service reports and job completion forms.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
Liaise professionally with tenants caretakers and other stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and maintain good customer relations.
Use and maintain plumbing tools and equipment responsibly and safely.
Participate in any on-call or emergency rota as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a qualified plumber ideally with experience in communal or social housing settings.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose plumbing issues.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to plumbing work.
Full UK driving licence.
Good communication and customer service skills.
