Make your mark as a SHE-Q Engineer at Boskalis! The SHE-Q Engineer understands and is able to communicate our safety and health (NINA) and quality (WoW) policy and programmes and our BWL SHE-Q system. They can communicate and cooperate properly with tender and project teams staff departments clients and stakeholders. They ensure the proper execution and maintenance of SHE-Q policies programmes and management systems in order to comply with company and industry standards.
Main Tasks:
- Actively supporting the organisation on SHE-Q related matters and facilitating SHE-Q activities including training coaching and familiarisation; tender and project support in NINA and WoW start-ups and programme promotion.
- Achieving results by understanding the added value of our SHE-Q role for the business: providing SHE-Q knowledge documentation and deliverables:
- SHE-Q input for tenders
- Practical support for tenders and projects with regard to NINA and WoW implementation
- Incident investigation and follow-up; trends analysis and the sharing of outcomes
- Continued maintenance of the SHE-Q legal register and ensure requirements are captured within the BWL SHE-Q system
- Compiling SHE-Q statistics for quarterly reporting and management review
- Lead by example: be a professional SHE-Q representative also for clients and stakeholders.
- Providing feedback report and advise management to increase SHE-Q knowledge and awareness by initiating and organising training assessments client audits internal audits and sub-contractor audits.
- Analysing and assessing processes for the benefit of complying to and continuously improving SHE-Q policies and programmes and keeping relevant colleagues engaged in improvement processes; WoW process control monitoring and verification.
- Providing input for the improvement of SHE-Q policies and programmes. Translate and help implementing SHE-Q programmes and policies into business processes.
- Being an ambassador driven by intrinsic values for the SHE-Q programmes.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma or BSc in engineering related subject
- NEBOSH Construction/General
- CQI & IRCA Auditor / Lead Auditor ISO 9001/14001/45001
- 5 to 7 years experience in a SHE-Q engineering function preferably in construction / maritime environment
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes
- Basic knowledge of industry equipment and operational activities

Your team: Reporting to the SHE-Q Manager you will work as a SHE-Q Engineer alongside the SHE-Q Officer.
Where you will work: You will be working at the Westminster House in Fareham Hampshire. Whilst the role is office based in Fareham we offer up to 2 days a week hybrid working. Please note there will be a requirement to travel to other project sites around the UK when the need arises.
Full/part-time job: The position of SHE-Q Engineer is a full-time job - 37.5 hours a week.
