Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure all children achieve their potential
Foster a positive inclusive classroom culture that encourages independence and curiosity
Collaborate with colleagues across Key Stage 2 to share best practice and support school improvement
Build strong relationships with parents and carers providing regular updates on progress
Contribute to the wider life of the school including clubs events and enrichment activities
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2 ideally Year 5
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment expectations
Excellent classroom management organisation and communication skills
A creative reflective and proactive approach to teaching
Commitment to promoting the wellbeing and development of every child
