Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging and academically challenging Geography lessons across all key stages.
• Co-ordinate and lead all necessary fieldwork and residential trips to enrich student understanding of geographical concepts.
• Develop students critical thinking and data analyse skills for both human and physical geography.
• Track and evaluate student progress meticulously ensuring high achievement at GCSE and A-Level.
• Contribute actively to the Humanities department promoting awareness of contemporary global issues.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree specialism in Geography.
• Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level including A-Level instruction.
• Excellent organisational skills necessary for planning and executing fieldwork and assessments.
• A commitment to promoting environmental awareness and global citizenship in the classroom.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
