Job Title: Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator

Location: Totton Southampton SO40 3WX

Salary: 49140 Bonus overtime OTE 60000

Full Time and Permanent Monday to Friday 45 hours a week

Our client is an automotive retailer representing prestigious car Brands they have a total of 30 businesses providing sales service and accident repair services across Sussex Surrey Kent and Hampshire.

Established in 1931 they are a successful and progressive third-generation family-owned business.

They are now actively looking to recruit a VDA / Estimator for their Accident Repair Centre in Totton Southampton.

About the Job:

As an experienced VDA / Estimator the purpose of your role is to assess a wide range of vehicles using Audatex and calculate costings and the time required to complete all necessary repairs accurately and professionally.

Main Duties:

• Carry out audits of process to ensure safe recorded methodology
  
• Carry out physical and desk top inspections on cars
  
• Compile repair estimates on damaged vehicle and submit to insurance companies
  
• Produce job cards for workshop staff
  
• Provide support to estimating department
  
• Carry out effective liaison with insurance companies motor engineer and policy holders
  
• Liaise with work provider
  
• Deal with engineers
  
• Deal with customer complaints
  
• Use Audatex

You must be able to:

Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready for agreed timescales.

Work skillfully and safely under pressure.

Carry out work in accordance with the manufacturers specifications.

Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision.

Be flexible in your approach.

Continually work to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.

You will ensure that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines; for example wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.

Candidates must have previous experience as a VDA / Estimator and be Audatex certified
