Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Steward! Were seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual to play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our bustling kitchen operations.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas food preparation spaces and back-of-house facilities
- Operate dishwashing machines according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of pantries refrigerators and freezers
- Ensure proper storage of operating equipment crockery cutlery and glassware
- Adhere to current health and hygiene regulations in all kitchen areas
- Sort count and prepare operational equipment as required
- Collect and dispose of garbage from all kitchen and back-of-house areas each shift
- Handle chemicals and equipment safely as per manufacturer instructions
- Contribute to cost control through energy conservation and careful use of resources
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent service
Qualifications :
- Understanding of food safety requirements and hygiene standards
- Proven track record in cleaning customer service or hospitality
- High standard of grooming and presentation
- Ability to work evenings and flexibility to work across a 7-day roster
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to supporting the overall kitchen operations
