Facilities Maintenance and Support delivers maintenance planning and contract inspection services for Water Services infrastructure/systems (surface water treatment plants communal drinking water systems linear watermains linear wastewater and stormwater collection sewers pump stations and the wastewater treatment plant) to ensure the continuous and adequate supply of high quality potable water to customers at the lowest cost.
You are responsible for managing operations and maintenance planning activities to assist operational managers to determine efficient resource deployment deliver effective service delivery plans and manage day-to-day operations. You also: ensure the provision of effective maintenance planning; develop a contract management and procurement strategy and manage contracts to assist with program and project delivery; manage the contract/procurement data entered into Public Works and Environmental Services Maintenance Management Systems (MMS); supervise section staff; and contribute to ongoing service delivery and service improvement initiatives in the branch
Completion of 4 year university degree in business administration public administration engineering or other related program with a focus on operations planning and management.
Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience supporting operational strategic and business planning within a municipal government including a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
