Job Description

Role Overview:
The Gate Inspector will inspect each and every tank that leaves the facility for defects damages placards and making sure the correct tank is leaving the facility.
Position Responsibilities:
- Checking tanks as they are transported into and out of the facility to ensure that all defects and damages are noted for liability purposes
- Ensure that the correct tanks are leaving the facility for transport and to serve as a last quality control check prior to transport to the customer
- Conduct walk-around inspections of tanks as they leave the facility to determine any defects or damages before the tank is delivered to the customer
- Compares the tank numbers on customer work orders to the actual tank numbers to ensure that the correct tank is being delivered
- Acts as the last step in the quality control process and will handle other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail to have the ability to perform high-quality inspections to note defects & damages
- Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry
- Basic computer knowledge (G-Suite knowledge preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
