Job Summary
Support the Head of Facility Management in daily data centre operations by delivering quality facility management and customer service while mentoring Data Centre Technicians and the 24/7 Technician Team.
What youll do:
- Manage risks customer requests contractors and facility operations to meet NEXTDC standards.
- Support Head of Facility Management and oversee outsourced teams.
- Plan cabling capacity and act as Facility SME for communications infrastructure.
- Assist with equipment handling maintenance cleanliness and incident escalation.
- Lead training improve processes and develop team skills and engagement.
- Produce reports and recommend operational improvements.
About you
- Strong customer communication in Bahasa Malay and English; experienced in handling escalations
- Effective planning organizing and analytical abilities
- Knowledge of data centre systems: rack management IT installs cooling and power
- Strong expertise in cabling cable management and quality assurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn advanced power and cooling technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with building management and monitoring systems (desirable)
- Relevant electrical/telecom qualifications (desirable)
- Some knowledge of ITIL framework
- Understanding of Uptime Institute TIER IV standards is a plus
Qualifications :
- 35 years experience in a similar role within a critical facility or data centre
- Background and qualifications in Electrical or Telecommunications
- Experience leading a team or in a supervisory role
- Certificate III in Telecommunications
