Under the supervision of the Dean this position provides a wide variety of complex and responsible administrative support services for full-time faculty and staff and adjunct instructors at the Berkeley campus; interprets operating policies and administers duties in a capacity that necessitates independent judgment. Provides excellent customer service with positive student engagement provides administrative support to the Deans office provides support for TTC community events has oversight of classroom readiness and monitors office communication. Assist with the campus course scheduling and instructor database. Handles multiple projects simultaneously and is the primary contact with other divisions colleges students faculty members and the community. This position will provide temporary support to the CDL program on the Thornley campus until the Berkeley campus renovation is complete.
This position requires a high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelors degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of institutional guidelines for completing supporting documentation for full-time and adjunct instructors part-time classified positions and work-study students and train other staff members. Candidate will demonstrate the ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies & procedures. Must be able to work effectively with administrative support staff academic deans department heads coordinators and faculty across all campuses and exercise discretion sound judgment and professionalism while prioritizing multiple priorities and being flexible to meet the extended hours of operation during peak periods. Candidate will have experience operating office equipment distributing and collecting documents and other items around campus. Individuals will display self-direction leadership cooperation and initiative and initiate and complete duties and special assignments with limited supervision. Must function in an environment characterized by continual changes in locations tasks and information technology. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
