We are seeking a highly motivated FinOps Consultant to join our team and help optimize our cloud financial this role you will work cross-functionally internally with Finance Engineering and Product teams and with Customers to ensure efficient cloud usage accurate cost allocation and data-driven decision-making. You will serve as the bridge between technology and finance helping maximize business value from cloud investments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Cost Optimization
o Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities to optimize spend.
o Implement cost allocation tagging strategies and enforce governance.
o Partner with engineering teams to drive efficient cloud architecture design.
Financial Management & Reporting
o Build and maintain dashboards for cloud cost visibility and accountability.
o Provide detailed variance analysis and root cause investigations.
Governance & Policy
o Establish and enforce cloud financial governance frameworks.
o Educate engineering and product teams on cost-efficient cloud usage.
o Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and vendor agreements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
o Act as the liaison between Finance Procurement and Technology teams.
o Drive cultural adoption of FinOps principles across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance Computer Science Engineering or related field.
3 years of experience in Cloud Cost Management FinOps or related financial/technical roles.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and billing models.
Proficiency in financial modeling reporting and cost analysis.
Hands-on experience with FinOps or cloud cost tools (e.g. CloudHealth Apptio Cloudability AWS Cost Explorer Azure Cost Management).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into financial insights.
Preferred Skills
FinOps Certified Practitioner or other cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)..
Knowledge of scripting (Python SQL) for automation and cost analysis.
Familiarity with SaaS cost optimization and multi-cloud environments.
Mandatory Requirements:
Nationality or Work Authorization:Spanish or Portuguese nationality or alternatively a permanent work permit/VISA for Spain or Portugal.
Language Proficiency:Advanced level of Spanish and English (both written and spoken).
