The successful applicant may be eligible for an annual full-time incentive of up to $2000 each year until 2025 as per MOU #31 of the current MNU collective agreement.
Position Overview
Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Manager Health Services and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital (SBH) the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) is responsible for providing clinical expertise to nurses. The CRN assumes a leadership role in coordinating patient care within the health care team ensuring quality patient care outcomes and promoting an interprofessional patient centered approach to care based on best practice.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years recent Acute Medical Nursing experience in a tertiary care setting experience required.
- Peritoneal Dialysis Nursing experience preferred.
- Charge Nurse experience required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Applicants will be assessed against the following selection criteria as applicable to the position: experience education experience patient care and clinical knowledge/skills leadership skills communication and interpersonal skills critical thinking and problem-solving skills quality improvement teaching skills research knowledge professional development and seniority.
