What You Will Do:

• Conducting user research: Assisting with or leading user interviews surveys and other research methods to understand user needs and preferences.
• Brainstorming and ideation: Participating in brainstorming sessions to generate new product concepts and features.
• Sketching and concept development: Creating initial sketches and renderings to visualize design ideas.
• 3D modeling and prototyping: Developing 3D models and prototypes using CAD software and other tools.
• Material selection and manufacturing considerations: Researching and recommending appropriate materials and manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration: Working closely with engineers marketers and other team members to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product goals.
• Design refinement: Iterating on designs based on feedback and testing.
• Presentation: Presenting design concepts and prototypes to internal teams and clients.
• Market research: Staying up to date on industry trends and competitor products.
• Documentation: Maintaining design documentation and specifications.

What You Will Bring:

• Freshman Sophomore Junior or Senior status at an accredited college or university and working towards a bachelors degree in industrial design
• Experience using Microsoft Office including the ability to create basic reports documents presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Strong verbal communication skills in order to clearly explain options and solutions to end-users
• Strong written communication skills demonstrating the ability to prepare outlines reports letters and any other supplemental materials in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to identify issues compare data and investigate discrepancies
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Able to give full attention to what other people are saying taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate
• Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks projects and priorities
• Ability to collaborate with team members
