Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical actuarial professional to support our risk assessment pricing and financial modelling efforts within our structured solutions team. The successful candidate will utilise actuarial techniques and statistical methods to analyse data develop and evaluate reinsurance structures and contribute to placement team activities. Candidates may come from broking underwriting or Big 4 consulting backgrounds provided they have capital modelling experience. Reinsurance experience is essential to fully understand the nature and complexities of the work involved.

As an actuary on our team you will be responsible for providing expert actuarial analysis and modelling product development and collaborating closely with a diverse range of clients across multiple business lines.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop review and enhance pricing models.

  • Analyse pricing metrics performance and loss data.

  • Provide analytical support as part of a team of reinsurance professionals to facilitate the design and evaluation of structured reinsurance solutions for clients of Guy Carpenter.

  • Support the development and maintenance of proprietary transaction models.

  • Stay informed on industry trends regulatory changes and actuarial best practices.

  • Apply your reinsurance expertise to grasp the complexities of structured reinsurance solutions with comprehensive training provided.

What you need to have:

  • Solid actuarial experience with reinsurance expertise to thoroughly understand the complexities of the work involved.

  • Your route into this role maybe from broking underwriting or Big 4 consulting with relevant capital modelling expertise.

  • Demonstrated experience in P&C reinsurance and or capital modelling.

  • Bachelors degree in actuarial science Mathematics Statistics Economics or a related field.

  • Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (e.g. IFoA SOA CAS or equivalent).

  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

  • Proficiency in actuarial software and statistical/data analysis tools (e.g. Python R SQL SAS Excel).
