Head of PM and R&D
Location: Hadsten Denmark
Reports to: CEO Rehau-Behr A/S

At REHAU-BEHR we design and manufacture advanced glass doors and lids for refrigerated and freezer cabinets found in leading supermarkets around the world. From Denmark and the EU to the U.S. and across the globe our products make a real impact on energy efficiency and sustainability.
We are now looking for a Head of PM and R&D to lead our product management and development activities. This is your chance to shape the future of our product portfolio and ensure that innovation quality and practicality go hand in hand.
The Role
As Head of PM and R&D you will take ownership of all product-related development activities from early-stage ideas to market-ready solutions. You will lead a skilled and experienced technical team and collaborate closely with Sales Supply Chain and Production to ensure our products remain cutting-edge and profitable.
You will join a self-driven leadership team that values autonomy trust and accountability. The role includes leadership responsibility for two experienced team members and youll be part of a workplace characterized by an informal tone great colleagues and a high degree of freedom.
This position is a replacement hire as the current Head of PM & R&D is leaving after ten successful years. A thorough onboarding and transition period is guaranteed with your predecessor staying in the organization until the end of January 2026 to ensure a smooth handover.
Your focus will span several areas from product management and R&D to production collaboration and people leadership.

1. Product Development & Innovation
- Drive the design testing and documentation of new products.
- Maintain and optimize existing products to ensure performance cost-efficiency and sustainability.
- Lead special customer projects requiring tailored solutions.
- Oversee management of 3D models technical data and BOMs across systems.
- Define the strategic direction for the product portfolio.
- Own and update cost calculators and price structures used across the business.
- Manage patents and ensure our innovation is protected.
- Prepare product material for exhibitions marketing and installation guides.
- Act as a technical partner in customer meetings and support the sales team with product insights.
- Align closely with production and supply chain on manufacturability technical documentation and supplier collaboration.
- Contribute to packaging design process development and technical optimizations.
- A solid background in product development engineeringor industrial design.
- Proven leadership experience in R&D or product management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong project management skills you turn ideas into tangible results.
- Structured mindset with a flair for both detail and big-picture thinking.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish or German is a plus).
