Position Summary:

As a Scheduling Specialist youll be the first point of contact in the patient experience ensuring accurate scheduling and financial clearance for diagnostic testing and procedures. Youll use your specialized knowledge to support operational efficiency and patient satisfaction across multiple departments and facilities.

What Youll Do:

  • Schedule complex diagnostic and ancillary testing across multiple facilities and states

  • Perform pre-registration insurance verification and financial responsibility identification

  • Communicate effectively with service delivery areas to optimize patient flow

  • Support performance improvement initiatives through data analysis and reporting

  • Collaborate with leadership and colleagues to identify opportunities and implement solutions

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with policies and regulations

What Youll Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 25 years of experience in scheduling financial clearance or patient access

  • National certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA (required within 1 year of hire)

  • Proficiency in patient registration/accounting systems and related software

  • Strong analytical communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree

  • Mastery in scheduling across three or more modalities

  • Experience with complex facility-based testing and multi-state scheduling protocols

  • Knowledge of third-party and government payer billing and reimbursement guidelines
