He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi About the role

As a Track Machine Planner youll coordinate the scheduling planning and monitoring of specialised track machinery such as compliance machines tampers rail grinders and ballast regulators. Youll work closely with engineering maintenance and operations teams to optimise machine use reduce disruptions and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.

This role is vital in balancing day-to-day maintenance with major projects keeping our rail network reliable and future-ready.

Were looking for someone who is organised safety-focused and confident working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally youll bring:

  • Experience in planning scheduling or project coordination preferably in rail or infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risks and adapt to change.
  • Proficiency with planning tools such as P6 Microsoft Project or Excel.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
  • A relevant engineering or project management qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • A current full New Zealand drivers licence and the flexibility to travel when required.
