Position Overview
As an Aircraft Assembler (Sheet Metal) you will be responsible for assembling installing and repairing sheet metal components and structures on Bombardier aircraft. This role requires close attention to detail strict adherence to technical drawings and specifications and a strong focus on quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret blueprints drawings and technical data to determine layout assembly and fabrication procedures.
Cut bend punch drill form and fit sheet metal components using manual power and pneumatic toolsfrom hand tools to riveting guns and pneumatic drills.
Assemble and install airframe structures panels and assemblies in accordance with Bombardier standards. Perform precise drilling riveting fitting and sealingensuring structural integrity and alignment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Quality Assurance Engineering) to meet production targets and ensure compliance with Bombardier specifications and regulatory standards.
Maintain and organize tools and workspace; adhere to safety protocols and house rules.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
Experience in sheet metal fabrication or aircraft assembly (preferred). Applicants with relevant training or certification may also apply.
Proficiency reading technical drawings blueprints and certifications.
Familiarity with tools such as drills shears pry bars clecos pneumatic riveters bucking bars etc.
Strong attention to detail manual dexterity and ability to follow instructions precisely.
Physical ability to stand reach lift (typically up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks safely.
