$46.24 - $68.45 Hourly
Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee.
This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage.
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Example of Duties
Under general direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer oversee manage plan organize direct and control the activities of the Employment Services Division which includes Employment Classification and Records. Provide employment classification and records support services to all Municipal departments. Oversee the proper resolution of complaints and/or grievances and appropriate corrective actions. Interpret policy intent and/or acceptable management practices to ensure fair and consistent application of policies. Perform fact finding and conduct internal investigations and prepare reports of findings. Perform full range of management activities such as budget administration establishing goals and objectives and development of policies and procedures. Other related duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesHigh school diploma GED or equivalent and eleven (11) years of professional human resources experience five (5) years of which must have been in the specialty field(s) assigned and three (3) years at the supervisory level in the specialty field(s) assigned.
OR
Associates degree in Human Resources or a related discipline and nine (9) years of professional human resources experience five (5) years of which must have been in the specialty field(s) assigned and three (3) years at the supervisory level in the specialty field(s) assigned.
OR
Bachelors degree in human resources or a related discipline and seven (7) years of professional human resources experience five (5) years of which must have been in the specialty field(s) assigned and three (3) years at the supervisory level in the specialty field(s) assigned.
