Job Summary

JOB TITLE: LPN

General Summary of Duties:

Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patients medical record.
Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physicians office.

REQUIREMENTS:

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Kansas.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required and/or obtained within 60 days of hire.
Previous experience in a clinic or pain management setting strongly preferred.
Knowledge of pain management techniques medications and procedures desirable.
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office products.
