About the Role:
The Owner Representative & Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for managing administering and facilitating the real estate development process across multiple projects and states. This role will oversee all pre-development activities including site selection land acquisition municipal approvals entitlements and design. During construction youll act as the owners representative ensuring quality control reviewing and accepting submittals and signing off on payment applications. You will also lead all financial aspects of development including budgets proformas and costs while collaborating with internal teams across management operations marketing and legal.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver new developments on time on budget and with the highest quality.
- Oversee site selection land procurement municipal approvals and entitlements through to occupancy.
- Manage all financial aspects of development including budgets and proformas.
- Serve as the Owners Representative during construction overseeing quality control and payment approvals.
- Interrelate with internal company personnel including management operations marketing legal and accounting.
- Attend OAC meetings track project schedules and resolve issues or obstacles as they arise.
- Travel an average of 25% per month.
Qualifications & Abilities:
- 10 years of experience in Construction Management Architecture Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record managing development projects from ground-up through completion.
- Strong knowledge of site development municipal processes and entitlements.
- High-level communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
- Experience using construction project management systems (Procore experience is a plus).
- Prior experience creating and managing project schedules.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to overcome unexpected construction issues.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Position may require standing for extended periods of time frequent communication with team members and use of standard office equipment.
- Ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens regularly.
- Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds.
- Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
- Occasional travel to different project locations is required.
