Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
The Valve Technician performs maintenance repair and testing of various valves including relief valves control valves tank vents and chemical injection packages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Follow safety and quality procedures
- Cleaning blasting and painting of various valve components
- Operate equipment blaster parts washer torch forklift and other related equipment
- Performs re-machining or lapping of critical parts
- Perform field work
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must be able to read measuring devices
- Must be able to document and enter job data
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a mobile employee including constant movement within a wide range of office environments climbing standing reaching bending kneeling stooping and lifting 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment for this position is typical for a warehouse including occasional exposure to loud noise and outside temperatures of heat/cold. The environment may occasionally include exposure to moving mechanical parts moving vehicles and working on scaffolding or high places. The work environment includes driving and operating a company vehicle
