Job Summary

Quality Engineer
Location: Orange County CA
Salary: $105000 - $125000 SIGN-ON BONUS

Join forces with a global leader in aerospace and military innovation where groundbreaking technologies push the limits of what is possible. Our client is seeking a full-time Quality Engineer to enhance quality management systems support manufacturing processes oversee inspections and ensure customer satisfaction through top-tier quality standards.

This is NOT a Quality Software position.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Assisting in the development of departmental processes document control and goals with compliance to AS9100D focusing on continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of process improvements throughout the organization.

  • Ensuring manufacturing adherence to procedure and developing inspection documentation for receiving in-process and final inspection.

  • Assisting in reviewing internal/external non-conformances and coordinating corrective action responses to prevent recurrence.

  • Monitoring supplier performance and coordinating government/DCMA inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve departmental processes document control and compliance with AS9100D focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure manufacturing adherence to procedures and develop inspection documentation for receiving in-process and final inspections.

  • Review and manage internal/external non-conformances coordinating corrective action responses to prevent recurrence.

  • Monitor supplier performance and coordinate government/DCMA inspections.

Requirements:

Education:

  • BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in an ISO9001/AS9100 QMS or other regulated manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with GD&T (MANDATORY) and use of metrology instruments

  • Processing of non-conformances and CAPA

  • Familiarity with Material Review Board processes

  • Preparation of First Article Inspections (AS9102)

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong MS Office Suite skills

  • Previous work experience with military products and/or DOD (MANDATORY)

Compliance:

  • Due to ITAR compliance MUST be a U.S. Citizen
