Occupational Therapist Assistant Compensation:
- Pay Range: $24-36/hr
- Relocation assistance available on case by case basis
Occupational Therapist Assistant Opportunity:
- Employment Type
- Schedule: flexible shifts with options for 4 x 10 or 5 x 8
- Occupational Therapist Assistants implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to carry out treatment plans tailored to each patient with a focus on pediatric interventions like improving fine motor skills sensory processing and self-care tasks while also addressing the needs of older clients with a variety of conditions.
- Lead therapy activities and exercises aimed at enhancing childrens development in areas like play social skills school readiness and self-regulation. For adult or geriatric clients provide support with improving daily living skills and functional independence.
- Document patient progress adjust treatment techniques as necessary and collaborate with the supervising therapist to modify plans.
Occupational Therapist Assistant Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program typically a 2-year associate degree program.
- Pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam for OTAs to become a certified COTA.
- Maintain state licensures
- CPR certification
