The ships Nurse is responsible for providing appropriate day-to-day health care to guests and crew onboard. Performs nursing care in a proficient calm and professional manner during routine work shifts as well as during a crisis increased workload or emergency.
Responsibilities
- Starting an intravenous infusion
- Assisting with a cardiac arrest with drugs ventilation and compression
- Calculates correct drug dosage and administers medication as per physicians prescription or order
- Checks emergency equipment maintains established par levels of medical supplies and medications
- Assists the physician with procedures treatments document nursing interventions observations and sets up treatment rooms
- Initiates nursing intervention for non-urgent patients such as but not limited to ice application dressings splints and bandages
Requirements
- Nursing school degree with minimum two years of clinical experience
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates
- Experience with cardiac care trauma internal medicine
- Emergency room and general practice background
- Pleasant and communicative character
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Reliability and hard work
- Fluently spoken English
