Job Summary

The ships Nurse is responsible for providing appropriate day-to-day health care to guests and crew onboard. Performs nursing care in a proficient calm and professional manner during routine work shifts as well as during a crisis increased workload or emergency.

Responsibilities

Starting an intravenous infusion
Assisting with a cardiac arrest with drugs ventilation and compression
Calculates correct drug dosage and administers medication as per physicians prescription or order
Checks emergency equipment maintains established par levels of medical supplies and medications
Assists the physician with procedures treatments document nursing interventions observations and sets up treatment rooms
Initiates nursing intervention for non-urgent patients such as but not limited to ice application dressings splints and bandages

Requirements

Nursing school degree with minimum two years of clinical experience
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates
Experience with cardiac care trauma internal medicine
Emergency room and general practice background
Pleasant and communicative character
Professional attitude and appearance
Reliability and hard work
Fluently spoken English
Great team spirit
