To operate WINGS Intake Line by providing callers with information support and referrals. The Intake and Resource Advocate explains available WINGS services completes intakes with callers when eligible for WINGS services and provides brief crisis intervention and safety planning with individuals experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness .
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct intake and eligibility screenings to determine callers needs and eligibility for WINGS services.
Inform Intake Line callers about WINGS services available including- housing counseling mentoring and support groups.
Complete intakes within WINGS online database system with callers eligible for WINGS services.
Maintains Intake Line voicemail log and ensure that callers receive a call back within 72 hours.
Identify update and maintain referral lists for callers and agency clients.
Provide Intake Line callers with applicable community referrals.
Inform callers of their rights as indicated by domestic violence and housing Iaws and policies.
Provide emotional support and referrals to walk in clients.
Maintain contact with waitlisted individuals from adult and child counseling programs by providing brief crisis intervention safety planning and confirming their continued preference to remain on WINGS waitlist.
Maintain accurate documentation and timely data entry using WINGS database system.
Conduct attend and participate in appropriate training and education.
Immediately report child abuse to Department of children and Family Services as mandated by law and in accordance with agency procedures.
Attend and participate in supervision biweekly Foglia Family Resource Center (FFRC) Team meetings and other meetings as required.
Assist in the monitoring and security of the FFRC front desk when receptionist or volunteer is unavailable.
Availability to work some evening and weekend hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Associate degree in social service closely related field or equivalent job experience required.
40-hour domestic violence training and CPR/First Aid preferred.
ICDVP credential preferred.
Bilingual Skills (Spanish Polish or Russian) preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Possess the ability to work efficiently and independently and be highly organized with attention to detail along with strong project management interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Utilize active listening motivational interviewing and crisis intervention skills to understand callers unique circumstances and needs.
Skilled in working with sensitive issues and in maintaining professional boundaries with clients.
Must demonstrate professionalism flexibility good judgement and commitment to teamwork.
Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities including but not limited to lifting up to 35 pounds using both hands/arms on a regular basis and occasionally standing for extended periods.
