Job Description:

This position provides support for the referrals and Transplant Administration after the patient has been financially approved and moving forward to the multidisciplinary evaluation appointment. The coordination of clinical information from referral to evaluation is needed to prepare the team for the complex medical history that can be encountered with Transplant evaluation patients. This will require the ability to navigate/research patients medical social medication and prior evaluations/work up history at previous hospitals/transplant centers. This position will work collaboratively with Transplant Assistants Transplant Coordinators Financial Coordinators and providers within the Transplant team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in healthcare related field or equivalent relevant experience required.
3 years at a minimum of experience in a Transplant environment preferred.
Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team is required.
Working knowledge of transplant programs and patient demographics.
Ability to work effectively with both internal and external customers in stressful situations.
Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) navigation Excel and other database spreadsheets.
Experience and strong skill set in Microsoft Office products.
Previous experience with privacy laws including TJC United Network of Organ Sharing and CMS.
Ability to multi-task in a highly demanding and competitive work environment.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and effectively with minimal to no supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adheres to UTMC Customer Service values demonstrate outstanding telephone etiquette culturally appropriate communication skills are required.
Ability to occasionally carry items weighing up to 30 pounds is required.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range and manual dexterity.
Requires the ability to operate various types of office equipment
