Reporting to the Director of OIT Infrastructure the Senior Network Administrator supports Shaw Universitys
wired and wireless network infrastructure. This position configures network hardware monitors connectivity and
ensures network security compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
Install and configure network devices including routers switches and firewalls
Manage campus LAN/WAN and wireless systems
Implement and maintain firewall VPN and VLAN configurations
Conduct network monitoring and performance tuning
Maintain inventory and documentation of all network assets
Assist in ensuring network compliance with NIST SP 800-171
Resolve network connectivity issues and support IT helpdesk escalations
Coordinate with vendors for advanced support and procurement

Minimum Job Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Network Engineering or a related field; 3 years of
experience in network administration
Certificates Licenses or Registrations
CCNA (required or within 6 months of hire) CompTIA Network (preferred)

Physical Demands
