Job Summary

REV WATCHES is a new watch boutique located in Los Angeles. More than just a watch store we aim to offer a forward-looking perspective on timepieces as an essential element to modern living. The shop (both physical and online) allows visitors to rediscover brands and acquire timepieces that are worn by enthusiasts - drawn to the crafted details that make a watch desirably creative contemporary and sophisticated. JOB SUMMARYThe E-Commerce Content Specialist is responsible for the storytelling and visual merchandising of our products / brands on our e-commerce and social channels. We are seeking someone who is a passionate content creator visual storyteller strategic thinker and skilled communicator with experience in promoting brands and their products in a uniquely creative and authentic way. A keen sense of the current social voice tone style and creative is critical. The purpose is to engage educate and promote the products / brands to visitors on our website in order to drive traffic conversion and revenue while maintaining a brand voice. He/she also uses individual initiative to work with our merchandising team to identify up and coming brands/products and understand the existing assortment of products. He/she will effectively manage internal and external sources to obtain accurate product details (specs images attributes videos etc.) to create a best-in-class web and social content that is consumer-centric. The Content Specialist will also test the products in order write hands on reviews and develop other digital content related to such product reviews. The E-Commerce Content Specialist implements and maintains style guides in order to write original web content that is consistent with the brand. He/she will collaborate with the SEO team to review business results discuss initiatives and ensure content is optimized with SEO best practices that result in favorable search engine rankings and drive role also requires an understanding of the major relevant social platforms (Facebook Instagram YouTube and beyond) and a tech savvy aptitude for learning the new apps/tools to support and streamline the workflow. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBrand and Product Content Creation As assignedDrive sales and conversion for a portion of the REV WATCHES catalog through product and brand content creation and maintenanceManage internal and external relationships with key partners to gather product information (details images attribution etc.) in a deadline driven environmentExecute the process for creating original web-optimized product content such as flat lay photography reviews and descriptions to drive online salesObtain edit and create new image and/or video presentation to represent product thoroughly and accuratelyComplete product attribution to drive online merchandisingApply business knowledge to identify and understand assortments and prioritize key initiativesApply and maintain style guides to ensure consistent product presentation within categoryPartner with SEO team to implement SEO best practices and review business results and upcoming initiatives to support category of businessWrite product titles descriptions reviews and other verbal assets in accordance with brand voice guidelinesDelegate tasks to additional resources to support content creation when applicableBrand Vision and Roadmap Assist in the strategy planning and execution of the REV WATCHES content initiativesPartner with brand representatives to create detailed recommendations for initiatives that will alter how we manage and present product information to the consumer across our e-commerce and social updated on competitor practices such as their content and communication practices in order to help differentiate our brand positioning in the conversion by partnering with web developer / designers (UX/SEO) to ensure product detail page formats (mobile and desktop) use content with business owners to create requirements for and glean insights from ongoing analytics reporting based on key KPIs that help us measure the effectiveness of our product/brand content AcumenBecome subject matter expert for product / brand content types such as copy images videos reviews etcInterpret how company strategies and changes impact the direct responsibilities and content requirementsUtilize business knowledge and reporting to prioritize workload and projects accordinglyAction content-related customer service issues and incorporate customer feedback to improve and enhance the web and social experienceIdentify plan and deliver product page enhancements (size charts tech specs videos etc.) that aid in customer buying decisionDevelop understanding of database architecture to better troubleshoot bugs and errors with development team(s)Perform competitive analyses to maintain knowledge of current industry trendsTechnical/ProcessTroubleshoot systematic and style creation issues to ensure proper display of content on the websiteEvaluate internal workflow processes identify opportunities and present suggestions for improvementsPossess thorough understanding of internal tools and how actions taken within translate to websiteAbility to adapt to new processes systems and strategies as eCommerce needs evolveParticipate as subject matter expert within various content disciplines to drive process improvementsTrain and present processes concepts and results to various levels of the organizationREQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBachelors degree in Business Marketing or related for working in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment 2-3 years preferred experience in E-Commerce digital marketing channels E-Commerce site merchandising managing content for websites copywriting photography HTML and project an ability to make uniquely creative promotional content and has extraordinary skills in at least one if not all of these: copywriting photography design photo and video to evaluate data and make informed recommendations and decisions based on findings attention to oral and written communication skills computer skills required including Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint Adobe Photoshop Affinity Photo and project management in learning and working with E-Commerce-related applications and to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven math analytical and problem-solving systems understanding and ability to quickly learn new software toolsA passion and knowledge about current trends in watches style art fashion lifestyle and how tell great Fluency is a mustPosition is based in Alhambra California.
