The Department of English at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position (#123470) at the rank of assistant professor in English pedagogy. The start date for the position is August 1 2026.
The successful candidate will provide curricular support for the English Departments undergraduate BA and BS in English Licensure (Grades 7 12) degrees and the English components of MTSUs dual enrollment addition they will teach graduate courses in composition pedagogy and literature pedagogy advanced undergraduate courses in methods of teaching secondary English and a range of general education English courses.
A PhD in English; English education; rhetoric and composition; rhetoric; writing studies and composition; technical or professional communication; technical or professional writing; the teaching of English; or literacy studies is required by the appointment date.
