Internship Details
Duration: 11 weeks full-time
Dates of Internship: June 1 2026 - August 14 2026
Location: Cincinnati Ohio
Hours: Monday-Friday 1st Shift 9am-5:30 pm
Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:
The highly skilled Anatomic Pathology Lab Team in Cincinnati provides a range of services to our clients including accessioning grossing embedding microtomy cytology automated special staining hand staining immunohistochemical staining and In Situ Hybridization staining in a fast-paced environment.
Internship Assignment Summary:
Assist the Laboratory technicians in all phases of histology including receiving patient specimens processing staining and troubleshooting specimen related problems
Build skills and knowledge in all areas of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory to gain a better understanding of histology functions
Perform lab assistant and specimen processingduties
Gain insight into regulatory and accreditation requirements that govern clinical laboratories
Participate in a process improvement special project
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Working towards an associate or bachelors degree in microbiology chemistry biochemistry biology or Medical Laboratory Science (Preferred) or other bioscience related majors
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast paced high-volume environment while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills; experience with Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication skills: both written and verbal
Career goals that align with working in a medical diagnostic or anatomical pathology lab as a technologist
High level of attention to detail
Comfortability with handling chemicals and biological specimens such as blood tissue body fluids or cells
Ability to communicate think creatively and embrace an ever-evolving career field
Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms of collaboration and partnership
