Job Summary
Summary:
A heavy equipment rental company is seeking a Forklift Operator/Washer to perform inspecting/cleaning/fueling duties on equipment such as forklifts boom lifts before getting certified to operate these equipment within the yard. Day to day operations at this company include renting repairing buying and selling heavy equipment. On average there are 70 pieces of equipment going out and 70 pieces of equipment going in such as diesel boom lifts up to 180 feet electric and diesel scissor lifts ranging from 13-19 feet forklifts etc.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre AND post-inspections on equipment before/after it is sent out to ensure equipment is undamaged safety compliant in good working order and fueled upon return to branch
- Power wash and thoroughly clean all equipment and work area
-Fuel equipment
- Provides labor assistance to service technicians sales team and other branch personnel
- Load and unload trucks and prepare equipment for rental
- Demonstrate how to use equipment for customers
- Drive delivery service truck to customers pick-up and drop off location
- Organize and maintain the yard
Requirements:
-1 years working in a warehouse/industrial environment
- 1 years using heavy equipment in a warehouse/industrial environment
-Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
-Ideally has a forklift operator license
-Ideally has working knowledge of heavy equipment (i.e Boom lift Scissor Lift and Fork Lift)
-Must be technologically savvy
