Job Summary

About the Role

Were seeking a highly skilled and security-minded Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our mission-driven team. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in secure software development infrastructure automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Youll be instrumental in embedding security into every phase of our development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
Integrate security tools and practices into DevOps workflows (e.g. SAST DAST container scanning)
Collaborate with development security and operations teams to ensure compliance and resilience
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation
Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in cloud-native environments
Lead threat modeling risk assessments and security architecture reviews
Mentor junior engineers and promote DevSecOps best practices across the organization

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps Security Engineering or related disciplines
Active Secret Clearance (required)
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes Docker)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python Bash etc.) and infrastructure-as-code tools
Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST OWASP CIS Benchmarks)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions etc.)

Preferred Skills

Certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or AWS Certified Security
Experience with zero-trust architectures and secure software supply chain practices
Familiarity with compliance requirements (FedRAMP DoD RMF etc.)

Salary range for the position is $175000 - $195000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience education skills and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
