About the Role
Were seeking a highly skilled and security-minded Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our mission-driven team. This role is ideal for someone with deep experience in secure software development infrastructure automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Youll be instrumental in embedding security into every phase of our development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
- Integrate security tools and practices into DevOps workflows (e.g. SAST DAST container scanning)
- Collaborate with development security and operations teams to ensure compliance and resilience
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in cloud-native environments
- Lead threat modeling risk assessments and security architecture reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevSecOps best practices across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in DevOps Security Engineering or related disciplines
- Active Secret Clearance (required)
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes Docker)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python Bash etc.) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST OWASP CIS Benchmarks)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions etc.)
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or AWS Certified Security
- Experience with zero-trust architectures and secure software supply chain practices
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (FedRAMP DoD RMF etc.)
Salary range for the position is $175000 - $195000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience education skills and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
