Job Summary

OGS Machiningis a CNC Job Shop that is currently looking for a full-timeQuality Inspector position for 3rd Shift. Standard shop hours are (4) ten-hour days Mon-Thurs. 7:30PM 6:00am with occasional overtime on Fridays as needed.

OGS Machining is a medium-volume production job shop whose average machining order is 100 - 500 pcs. 75% of our jobs are made from bar stock with the remaining 25% are machining castings or billet. All parts can easily be held in your hand no cranes or material handling equipment are necessary. The majority of our CNC turning equipment is less than 4 years old and state-of-the-art.

OGS Industries is seeking aQuality Inspectorat our OGS Machining location to ensure customer satisfaction through compliance of internal and external customer imposed quality control requirements.

Essential Duties

Understand and follow OGS quality system requirements.
Review and understand customer requirements.
Provide documentation and results during Receiving Layout In-process and Final Inspection.
Document SPC as needed to support quality efforts.
Follow Inspection Plan Documents (IPDs) that provide a basis for making quality decisions in accordance with customer requirements and OGS procedures.
Use approved gauging and measurement techniques.
Properly use inspection equipment product inspection techniques system software and follow established OGS quality system procedures and work instructions.
Perform calibration activities and maintain calibration system as required.

Equipment Used

Wide variety of mechanical inspection-type measuring equipment (i.e. dial/digital micrometers calipers height gages CMM optical comparator hardness instruments

Skill Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required. A minimum of five (5) years Quality Control/Assurance Inspection experience is required. Helpful if qualified candidate would be able to operate manual CMM and Optical Comparator.
Basic understanding of precision machining operations (milling and turning machines). Drawing interpretation including GD&T. Knowledge of non-destructive and destructive testing and measuring techniques. Knowledgeable in the applications and requirements of ISO 9001 AS9100 IATF14949
