Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Loaders for work in the Geismar LA area. This position performs loading and unloading of bulk materials and chemicals in tanker trucks railcars and intermediate bulk containers. Loaders for this jobsite will be working with rail cars in a production environment and outdoors. Ideal candidate will have flexiblity to work a variety of shifts to support operations and prior experience working as a loader in industrial manufacturing facility.
Essential Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Input data into electronic handheld device
Knowledge of DOT HAZMAT standards
Written pre-employment qualification test
Minimum of one (1) year experience loading/unloading from railcars
OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven long sleeves steel toe boots etc.)
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat safety glasses gloves respirator hearing protection safety harness with lanyard etc.)
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials; Follow DOT plant owner and Turner Industries policies and procedures; Match product loading with bill of lading; Check vessel for last product contained prevent cross contamination; Inspect container for leaks before releasing; Prevent loading/unloading multiple vessels at one time; Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
May be required to do the following: climbing ladders scaffolds structures etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders scaffolds structures etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing / data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
