Summary:
As a CNC Programmer/Machinist Level I you are responsible for setting up programming and operating all CNC and manual machinery to support production and engineering. You work in a meticulously maintained state-of-the-art machine shop with an unmatched work environment that fosters precision and quality. Your machining expertise ensures the timely fabrication of high-reliability components essential to NAIs custom electronic assemblies for aerospace defense and industrial systems.
- Set up and operate CNC machinery to fabricate various parts
- Applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures shop mathematics machinability of materials and setup techniques
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and common troubleshooting when a malfunction occurs
- Interface with Engineering Production and Quality to control and meet tolerances needed
- Implementation of 6S practice and techniques in machine shop
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- General Experience with manual knee mill CNC mills and other common machine shop equipment
- General CAM programming experience/knowledge. Mastercam GibbsCAM or Fusion.
- Ability to program 3-axis CNC toolpaths from step files and 3D models using CAM software
- Must have good oral and written communication skills (English)
