Your Mission
Were looking for an intellectually curious and highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance this role is a great opportunity to strengthen and build upon the foundations already in place with the autonomy to help us shape how FP&A supports the business as we move through our next phase of growth (Series B and beyond).
Youll partner with senior stakeholders across the business turning data into insights that shape smarter decisions. Youll lead on financial modelling budgets and forecasting to give the business clarity and direction. Most importantly youll deliver insights that accelerate our journey to profitability and help us scale with confidence.
What youll be doing
Financial Modelling Budgeting and Forecasting
Financial modelling: Lead the maintenance and continuous refinement of the companys detailed operating and financial models ensuring accuracy and flexibility to support various strategic scenarios.
Budgeting & Planning: Drive the annual budgeting process working closely with the Head of Finance and department heads to develop realistic bottom-up operational budgets that align with the companys strategic goals.
Forecasting: Manage and execute the regular rolling forecasting process identifying risks and opportunities and providing an updated financial outlook to leadership.
Strategic Business Partnering
Strategic Decision Support: Serve as a dedicated financial business partner to functional leaders (e.g. Sales Marketing Product etc.) providing financial expertise on key initiatives spending decisions and hiring plans.
Scenario and ROI Analysis: Develop ad-hoc financial models business cases and return on investment (ROI) analyses for new projects product launches pricing strategies and new supplier spend.
KPI Reporting and Analysis
Monthly Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast identifying root causes communicating findings clearly to the leadership team.
KPI Reporting: Own the preparation and distribution of the companys core Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting package (e.g. dashboards executive summaries) to the leadership team and the wider business focusing on critical SaaS metrics such as ARR Churn NRR CAC LTV etc.
Board & Investor Materials: Support the preparation of board materials and other management reports providing clear concise narratives around financial performance.
Investor Relations and Fundraising Support
Investor Relations (IR): Assist the Head of Finance with materials for existing investors including preparing performance updates and responding to investor inquiries.
Future Fundraising: Provide support during future fundraising activities including preparing due diligence materials validating key metrics and building investor-ready decks and financial projections.
You will love this role if you have
Experience working in an FP&A or Commercial Finance role ideally in a high-growth SaaS or technology business
Excellent financial modelling skills either in excel/google sheets or dedicated FP&A software
Experience running budget and forecasting processes
An analytical mindset with a data-led approach to problem solving
Great communication skills and an ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Great attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with financial tools like Xero and data analytics tools like Metabase (nice to have)
You will not love this role if you
Arent comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Arent ready to own your own results and be held accountable
If you like maintaining the status-quo and arent willing to think outside the box
If you like a lot of structure and processes we are a start-up and are still working things out and we dont always know whats next
Are not comfortable with ambiguity we will give you guidance but sometimes you have to work things out
Wait for others to step up or to be told what to do. We are a high-performance and high-reward work place and are looking for people who are proactive
