Ideal Candidate Profile:
MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
Strong comprehensive candidates welcome; Fellowship training in cornea or glaucoma preferred

Position Overview:
The Department of Ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a compassionate forward-thinking ophthalmologist to join the Grady Eye Center clinical faculty. This full-time position is ideal for candidates who are energized by challenging cases passionate about equity and committed to mentoring the next generation of physicians.
We are particularly interested in applicants with fellowship training in cornea or glaucoma though experienced comprehensive ophthalmologists with a strong interest in trauma and surgical management are also encouraged to apply.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a busy personally staffed outpatient clinic
- Participate in the surgical care of patients including trauma and complex pathology
- Supervise and teach ophthalmology residents in both clinical and operating room settings
- Provide consultative services for Gradys Emergency Department and inpatient units
- Participate in departmental and community initiatives focused on equity access and innovation in eye care
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
