The Community team is looking for a comment moderator to work on a temporary basis to supplement our existing team. This position is full-time fixed-term contact and is expected to last up to six months with the possibility of extension.
Your role will involve the review approval and curation of reader comments in a fast-paced work environment. You might also work with reporters and editors on replies to reader comments and assist the Community editors with other tasks.
The New York Times is known within the industry as having one of the most thoughtful robust and helpful comments sections. Readers come to us looking to participate in an informed and thoughtful debate on the most important news facing the world today.
This is an in-office position based in London and includes regular attendance in the office four days each week. There may be some flexibility to work remotely per your departmental guidance. This role reports to the Senior Editor Community Operations.
