Room Leader (23 Years) Surbiton Nursery

Salary: Up to 30400

Our client a well established day nursery in Surbiton is looking for a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years professional ready to take the next step in leadership helping to shape a safe nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 23 years.

As Room Leader youll play a key role in guiding a dedicated team of practitioners ensuring high standards of care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive forward-thinking setting that values both staff wellbeing and childrens development.

What Were Looking For

Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)
Previous experience working as a Room Leader Nursery Nurse or Senior Practitioner
Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Ability to lead motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication skills and a warm approachable manner
Commitment to inclusive practice and supporting every childs individual needs

Key Responsibilities

Lead the daily operation of the 23 year room maintaining exceptional standards of childcare and learning
Support mentor and supervise playroom staff fostering professional growth and teamwork
Ensure children are allocated appropriately to key carers and that the key carer system is implemented effectively
Promote a safe engaging and inclusive learning environment aligned with EYFS requirements
Build positive relationships with parents and carers providing professional and supportive feedback
Encourage best practice in safeguarding wellbeing and child development across the team
Act as a role model inspiring colleagues and contributing to a positive nursery culture
