Location/Division Specific Information

This role is a 1-year temporary Laboratory chemical product application scientist role and you will report to Technical support supervisor. We are looking for candidates in Madrid.

You will drive ownership and responsibility for the day-to-day technical support tasks and provide Excellent Services to our Customers and Partners. You are professional accountable Customer centric and enjoy working in a fast-paced multicultural environment.

A day in the Life:

  • You will be the main contact for customers internal partners through email phone for Thermo Fisher Scientific Chemical product lines

  • Provide information and documentation based on customer requests presenting any changes or delays and providing alternate options/solutions

  • Respond efficiently to customers inquiries by using internal systems and processes to retrieve information

  • Coordinate with other functions such as Quality Assurance to acquire required information and follow up where needed.

  • Ensure communication and support are in line with corporate guidelines and compliance.

  • Responsible to meet Operational Excellence targets by meeting Key Performance Index and Service Level Agreements.

  • Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in Customer Relationship Management system

  • Recommend and participate in Process improvements in processes FAQ and technical information

Keys to Success:

Education

  • A Bachelor degree or higher in Chemistry Biochemistry or a similar field is a must.

Experience

  • At least 1 year in chemistry or life science laboratory is a must.

  • Reagent ordering and/or laboratory documentation

  • Customer Service Experience is a plus

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Proficiency in English spoken and writtenis a must.

  • Additional languages such as Spanish German French or Italian are a plus.

  • Excellent communication both written and oral

  • Quick learning of digital tools systems and technologies

  • Decision making

  • Prioritization

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams

  • Comfortable working across borders time zones and cultures with variety of global customers and interested parties

Office based (Alcobendas office in Madrid)
