Job Summary
A hotel housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and common areas ensuring a comfortable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning Guest Rooms: Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms including making beds changing linens dusting surfaces vacuuming carpets and disinfecting bathrooms.
- Restocking Supplies: Replenish room supplies such as toiletries drinking glasses and writing materials to ensure guests have everything they need during their stay.
- Maintaining Common Areas: Keep public areas like lobbies hallways and conference rooms clean and tidy contributing to the overall appearance of the hotel.
- Guest Interaction: Handle guest requests for extra supplies or services promptly and courteously ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Reporting Issues: Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Laundry Duties: In some cases housekeepers may also be responsible for laundry tasks including washing and drying linens and restocking linen carts.
