Mechanical Engineering Intern
Role Overview:
Otis is the worlds leading company for elevator escalator manufacturing installation and service. We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Engineering intern to join our team at Farmington CT lead design center. This internship offers you an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your skills in a collaborative learning environment under the mentorship of our senior mechanical engineers. During your internship you will be an integral part of a team that solves real problems.
On a typical day you will:
- Create Creo 3D Modeling Software effectively to support engineering tasks while following established internal procedures and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the design development and testing of mechanical components and system designs
- Collaborate with engineers on planning and execution
- Prepare technical presentations related to your project or participate in design reviews
- Collaborate with other Otis interns.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
- Passion for Mechanical Engineering mechanical design or system integration and testing
- Experience with 3D CAD software with an understanding of and adherence to company-specific engineering processes and standards.
- Be able to apply mechanical engineering theories and analytical methods to perform modeling simulation and analyses of mechanical components and systems.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
