Job Summary

St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish located in Ijamsville MD seeks candidates for a Coordinator of Evangelization and Faith Engagement of Youth and Young Adults.

Essential Functions:

Evangelization

Cultivate a culture of evangelization at St. Ignatius Parish with the pastor. This includes fostering a love for the Eucharist and Eucharistic Revival in conjunction with pastor and ministry leaders
Engage in developing a plan for Liturgical Evangelization (highlighting feast days and liturgical seasons as a means of evangelization) with Pastor and Director of Faith Formation and Evangelization. This includes evangelization and catechesis through videos and social media both individually and with others.
Work with others for opportunities to outreach to fallen away and non-practicing Catholics
Foster opportunities of encounter with Christ through Scriptural Meditations
Receive further formation in evangelization faith and accompaniment and sharing the fruits with parish

Youth & Young Adults

Lead and co-collaborate in evangelization and faith engagement with middle school high school youth and confirmation program
Work with Dir. of Faith Formation to establish and form Peer Ministers
Build Evangelization team to co-minister to the various levels of youth in the parish
Lead and cultivate a team for sacramental preparation/OCIA (formerly RCIA) for high school teens who havent received their sacraments
Engage College Students through Frassati Society (Youth 18-28)
Cultivate gatherings retreats and events (locally or regionally) for young adults. This includes spiritual formation & discernment for young adults

Faith Engagement

Lead and work with pastor and ministry team for spiritual formation of the parish helping to foster practical habits of holiness in the parish.

Position Qualifications:

Practicing and devoted Catholic who is fully able to participate in the sacramental life of the Church.
Bachelors Degree preferably in theology religious studies pastoral ministry or related field.
Excellent planning and organizational skills ability to prioritize work
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Strong influential skills
Social Media Marketing
Some flexibility in schedule

Pay Rate: $45000 Annualized
