Senior Supply Chain Manager 3PL, North America External Fulfillment

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the strategic development and sourcing of third-party logistics (3PL) solutions for Amazons fulfillment network. This role will bridge Amazons capacity planning needs with 3PL capabilities designing innovative solutions that enhance our network flexibility while ensuring commercial viability. Youll be instrumental in evaluating structuring and implementing partnerships that expand our fulfillment capabilities through strategic 3PL relationships.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning and development of 3PL solutions translating Amazons network expansion needs into commercially viable partnerships while ensuring operational excellence and cost-effectiveness through innovative 3PL solutions.


- Lead strategic planning and solution design for 3PL network expansion in partnership with capacity planning teams
- Develop and negotiate commercial frameworks and operational agreements with 3PL partners
- Drive cost modeling and financial analysis to ensure solution viability and optimization
- Translate internal business requirements into executable 3PL solutions
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key 3PL partners while representing their capabilities internally

As a Supply Chain Manager for 3PL Solutions youll navigate between strategic planning sessions with internal stakeholders and deep-dive discussions with potential 3PL partners. Your expertise in supply chain operations will help bridge the gap between Amazons business needs and 3PL capabilities. Whether youre analyzing network optimization opportunities structuring new partnership agreements or designing innovative fulfillment solutions youll play a crucial role in shaping Amazons future fulfillment landscape.

Note: Position might require up to 10% travel mainly to 3PL sites

About the team
The External Fulfillment organization at Amazon manages our third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships including performance management across our network. Within this organization you will join the North America External Fulfillment Strategy team where were responsible for the strategic direction sourcing and implementation of 3PL solutions. Our teams mission is critical to expanding Amazons network capacity through innovative and efficient partnerships while ensuring seamless integration with our fulfillment ecosystem.

- Masters degree
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables & charts multiple criteria lookups nested logical/IF formulas data cleansing array formulas etc.)

- Masters degree or MBA in supply chain business engineering finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 4 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience with operations/supply chain

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
