Location: Oakhurst CA This position is 100% onsite; teleworking is not available.
JOB SUMMARY
The Activities Aide reports directly to the CEO of the Boys and Girls Club and works under the general supervision of the Education Director. The Aide collaborates with the CEO to ensure all students are accounted for while participating in the program. Responsibilities include providing instruction to students engaged in specific programs or activities leading small groups and facilitating larger group activities. The Aide is expected to maintain a safe structured and well-supervised environment while serving as a positive role model coach and mentor. Additional duties include setting up and cleaning up the academic environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Foster a positive and engaging environment that encourages active student participation.
- Set up and clean up the program space before and after activities.
- Prepare materials for students including making copies and assembling resources.
- Work with small groups of students to support learning and engagement.
- Lead crafts recreational activities academic interventions or other program components.
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring activities and reporting any potentially unsafe conditions.
- Collaborate with staff to enhance students social and academic experiences.
- Model professional and ethical behavior when interacting with students parents colleagues and community members.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students families peers and community partners.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development sessions and training opportunities.
- Support and enforce rules and behavioral expectations consistently.
- Assist with and participate in special programs events and activities as needed.
- Provide daily transportation for students to and from the program using PRCI vehicles.
- Assist with meal preparation including snacks and hot meals.
- Supports departmental operations through additional duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED required OR high school students with a valid job permit.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children.
- Ability to motivate youth and effectively manage behavioral challenges.
- Skilled in planning and implementing high-quality youth development programs.
- Capable of organizing and supervising youth in a safe and structured environment.
- CPR First Aid Certification and a Food Handlers License are required (training will be provided if not currently certified).
- Proficient in using internet-based tools scanning word processing and communication software including PowerPoint Word Excel Outlook Adobe Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong organizational problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Must possess a valid unrestricted drivers license.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comprehensive background check.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with the Tribes Constitution laws and cultural practices is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure and result-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- An ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with integrity and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of managing projects independently.
- Comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels within the Tribe.
- Proven ability to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.

In accordance with applicable Tribal law and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians (PRCI) Administration provides employment preference to enrolled PRCI Tribal Members. To qualify applicants must submit valid proof of enrollment.
Tribal Members who meet the minimum qualifications will be given preference in hiring promotion transfer and layoff decisions. During the interview process PRCI Tribal Members will receive an additional 7.5 points (10% of the 75-point interview rubric). Non-PRCI Native American candidates will receive an additional 5 points (6.7% of the total points) in accordance with Indian Preference guidelines.
INDIAN PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
In compliance with 25 CFR Part 276 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act Sections 701(b) and 703(i) employment preference shall be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled members of the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians and secondarily to another qualified American Indian/Alaska Native Candidate.
