At ING we are looking for a Software Engineer

Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Backend Software Engineer to join us at our Engineering Platform tribe.

The responsibility of the team is to maintain develop and evolution the event platform based on a java software that is an implementation of the E.T.L. pattern made by ING based on the Databus project by resume READ data from a source (backends like oracle) TRANSFORM into DomainEvents and SEND to a different brokers like RabbitMQ Kafka and Pulsar. The team operate these assets aiming for excellence in the way of working on its operational procedures. We as a team are constantly looking for the maximum efficiency in our procedures resources and automatisms while keeping our first-class standards for Security IT Risk and FinOps.

Your key responsibilities:

As Software Engineer you will deliver working Production software available for all our external and internal customers by making the best use of technology and development practices including documentation and testing. You will manage end-to-end delivery and operation of Platform components troubleshoot any incidents perform analysis and fix any bugs that occurs. Contribute to improve the technical discipline by collaborating with the cross technical chapter.

You will work hand in hand with Engineering Platform Tribe team Product Owners and Architects to develop strategies and to define principles for ING services and evolve the Platform itself. Our teams portfolio is diverse containing a significant number of projects built using industry-standard technologies and practices (Java Spring/Spring Boot ELK stack Prometheus Grafana Ansible or OpenShift).

We as a platform team have as our main stakeholders the Tribes engineers therefore we are focused on delivering efficient solutions for a wide number of engineers to improve their delivery in all aspects: quality code delivered as scheduled in a secure and compliant way using an efficient and elastic Infrastructure.

What are we looking for

We are looking for Engineers with the ability to lead and co-create solutions adapted to our constantly evolving ecosystem which may change in the Technology we use in the requirements from our business or in the needs of our users.

Essential:

Good coding Skills on all Middleware layer: Java 8/11/17/21
Spring (Boot MVC CORE Security Dependency Injection).
RabbitMQ
Kafka
Microservices: Hexagonal architecture; Patterns (Circuit Breaker Api Gateway Service Discovery); Feature Flags.
Design Patterns SOLID Clean Code Software Craftmanship.
Back End & DevOps awareness (understand the global architecture / infrastructure).
Testing: Unit Testing (Techniques: White-box/ Black-box What is a unit); Type of testing (unit testing integration and smoke); Junit; Contract Testing; Framework mocks (Mockito Wiremock Powermock).
Docker Openshift or Kubernetes.
CI / CD pipelines.
DevOps Skills.
Azure (pipelines).
5 years of experience on similar technical stack.
Agile team experience with SCRUM or Kanban or XP.
Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must.

Security: JWT Mutual TLS Access token.
Automatic testing (Selenium Cucumber).

Estamos buscando una persona Backend Software Engineer con talento y entusiasmo para unirse a nuestro equipo en la tribu de Engineering Platform.

La responsabilidad del equipo es mantener desarrollar y evolucionar la plataforma de eventos basada en un software Java que implementa el patrón E.T.L. desarrollado por ING basado en el proyecto Databus de LinkedIn. El equipo opera estos activos buscando la excelencia en los procedimientos operativos. Como equipo buscamos constantemente la máxima eficiencia en nuestros procedimientos recursos y automatismos manteniendo nuestros estándares de primera clase en Seguridad Riesgo IT y FinOps.

Tus principales responsabilidades:

Como Software Engineer entregarás software funcional en Producción disponible para todas nuestras personas usuarias internas y externas utilizando al máximo la tecnología y las buenas prácticas de desarrollo incluyendo documentación y testing. Gestionarás la entrega y operación end-to-end de componentes de la Plataforma resolverás cualquier incidencia realizarás análisis y corregirás cualquier bug que ocurra. Contribuirás a mejorar la disciplina técnica colaborando con el capítulo técnico transversal.

Trabajarás mano a mano con el equipo de la tribu Engineering Platform Product Owners y Arquitectos para desarrollar estrategias y definir principios para los servicios de ING y evolucionar la propia Plataforma. El portfolio de nuestro equipo es diverso con un número significativo de proyectos construidos usando tecnologías y prácticas estándar del sector (Java Spring/Spring Boot ELK stack Prometheus Grafana Ansible u OpenShift).
