Legal Assistant/Paralegal - Corporate Commercial & Real Estate Salary: starting at $75000 commensurate with experience Location: Vancouver
Our client a respected boutique in Vancouver is looking for a highly organized and experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their busy corporate commercial & real estate team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend to incorporations annual maintenance documents ordinary and special corporate procedures including amalgamations corporate reorganizations and dissolutions
Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from start to finish including client intake ordering required documents preparing and e-filing land title documents drafting correspondence and coordinating with clients and Realtors;
Assist with preparing personal estate documents including Wills and Powers of Attorney and attend to estate planning tasks including searches and filings.
Attend to filings and searches including at land title office corporate registry personal property registry.
Assist with applications for grant of probate and documents relating executorship.
Prepare resolutions officer certificates retainer letters and reporting briefs.
Maintain a well-organized work environment and strive for efficient workflow.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years experience as a corporate/commercial legal assistant/paralegal
High proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with Aparra software
Experience with PC Law is an asset
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently
